Right to be forgotten

The right to be forgotten and remembered.

On 30th May 2014 the European Commissio for Justice extended the 1995 Data Protection Directive right to include the ‘right to be forgotten’. This now gives individuals the right to request the remove of links from the Internet.

It is currently being argued that ‘right to be forgotten’ signals the largest risk to freedom speech on the Internet.

This project intends to engage with this issue by understand it complexity, sensitivity and ethical implications.
