Each piece runs sixty seconds, but its internal counter climbs to one hundred, a system measuring itself against a scale that doesn't match the time it's actually given. That gap is the point where a gradient built and degraded through repeated compression sits with texture and a grid of circles trying to impose order on both. The count outpaces the clock, the pattern outpaces the material, the system is always slightly ahead of, or behind, what's actually happening.
Built as a material process rather than a fixed image: a gradient pushed through repeated compression until it started to misbehave, layered over a weathered texture, then measured against a simple system.
The date in the corner isn't really a title, more a timestamp, a record of when I made it and let it run, the way you'd date a photograph or a sample. The piece is really about that tension a system laid over something messy and organic that keeps slipping out from underneath it.
